Nachdem über 20 Jahre das Marathon Guiding von “Experts in Speed” mit Sebastian Baumgartner und Werner Kaminski durchgeführt wurde und 2023 beendet werden sollte, haben wir vom SCC Skating Berlin dieses tolle Projekt übernommen und organisieren es nun schon zum dritten Mal.
Alle unsere Guides sind sehr erfahrene Speedskater*innen. Seit vielen Jahren treffen wir uns zum BMW Berlin-Marathon oder bei vielen anderen Rennen.
Ob Neueinsteigerinnen oder alte Hasen, die FollowMe Marathon Guides begleiten dich durch den BMW BERLIN-MARATHON Inlineskating am 26.09.2026. Sie geben Tipps, helfen dir bei der Gruppenbildung, um vom Windschatten zu profitieren und haben dabei immer einen Blick auf die Uhr, um die angestrebte Zielzeit zu erreichen.
Dieser Service passt für dich, wenn
- es ist dein erster Inline-Marathon ist, oder
- du eine für deine Ziele passende Gruppe suchst, oder
- du versuchen möchtest, deine persönliche Bestzeit zu knacken
Wie findest du die für dich passende Gruppe?
- Skate regelmäßig auf einer dir bekannten Strecke
- messe die Zeit, die du für eine bestimmte Strecke brauchst (10 oder 20 km) und rechne diese auf den Marathon hoch
- bedenke: in eine Gruppe und unter Wettkampfbedingungen bist du meistens schneller (Windschatten, Adrenalin)
- Unsere Marschtabelle hilft Dir dabei, die Zeiten besser einzuschätzen

Kennenlernen und Gruppenbildung
Auf der Messe Marathon EXPO holst Du deine Startnummer ab, anschließend kannst du gern am FollowMe Marathon Guiding Stand direkt neben dem SCC Skating Berlin Stand vorbeikommen. Nadja und Uwe vom Orga-Team sind am Freitag ab 15 Uhr vor Ort und zeitweise wirst du auch einige Guides schon treffen können.
Die Gruppeneinteilung erfolgt am Samstagmorgen ab 9:00 Uhr am Treffpunkt am SCC BUS vor dem Brandenburger Tor

After more than 20 years of marathon guiding by “Experts in Speed”—led by Sebastian Baumgartner and Werner Kaminski—which was set to end in 2023, we at SCC Skating Berlin have taken over this great project and are now organizing it for the third time.
All of our guides are very experienced inline skaters. We’ve been meeting up for many years at the BMW Berlin Marathon and many other races.
Whether you’re a newcomer or a seasoned skater, the FollowMe Marathon Guides will accompany you through the BMW BERLIN MARATHON Inline Skating event on September 26, 2026. They’ll give you tips, help you form groups to take advantage of the slipstream, and always keep an eye on the clock to help you reach your target finish time.
This service is right for you if
- it’s your first inline marathon, or
- you’re looking for a group that matches your goals, or
- you want to try to beat your personal best
How do you find the right group for you?
- Skate regularly on a route you’re familiar with
- measure the time it takes you to cover a specific distance (10 km or 20 km) and extrapolate that to the marathon distance
- keep in mind: you’re usually faster when skating in a group and under race conditions (drafting, adrenaline)
- Our pace chart will help you estimate times more accurately
Services and Registration
The price of 30 € includes the following services:
- Meet & Greet at the FollowMe Marathon Guiding booth at the Expo Marathon Fair on Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Group assignment and warm-up with your guide on Saturday morning
- Guided group ride through the BMW BERLIN MARATHON inline skating event
- 1 exclusive, high-quality Rollerblade performance jersey for participants
- 1 water bottle / 1 energy bar

Meet & Greet and Group Formation
Pick up your race number at the Marathon EXPO, then feel free to stop by the FollowMe Marathon Guiding booth right next to the SCC Skating Berlin booth. Nadja and Uwe from the organizing team will be there on Friday starting at 3:00 p.m., and you’ll also be able to meet some of the guides from time to time.
Group assignments will take place on Saturday morning starting at 9:00 a.m. at the meeting point by the SCC BUS in front of the Brandenburg Gate.
